Marine pollution, or sea pollution, is pollution that affects the seas and oceans , from the surf zone to the open sea. It includes that which occurs on the coasts , in ports , on fishing platforms , in industry, in navigation and in maritime areas. It is global in nature and requires international conventions, such as MARPOL , and international efforts aimed at reducing it and ensuring sustainable development of the marine environment.

In the 80s, most world governments believed that the oceans had the ability to eliminate plastic, microplastic and nuclear waste which in recent decades have reached beaches and islands, one of the most affected islands has been the Mythical Easter Island, since it is located at the height of the equator and very close to one of the largest plastic islands in the world, in recent years hundreds of tons of micro plastics have arrived.

 

Let's not look the other way as if nothing happened! Let's be aware that if we don't take care of nature, it will destroy us one day, it is a matter of time!
